Aurora, a far-western suburb of Chicago, stretches from Kane County to Will County with sections of the city in Dupage and Kendall counties. Known as the “City of Lights”, Aurora is rich in history and community pride. It is the second most populous city in the state, and is accessible through 5 interchanges on the East/West Tollway (I-88).
On the eastern border, commercial growth continues along Rt 59 including the regional Westfield Shopping Mall at Fox Valley. Residents attend Indian Prairie schools (Naperville 204) and Batavia 101 schools.
The south area which was predominately farmlands in the early 2000’s, known as The Wheatlands, is served by the Oswego 308 schools.
On the western side, commercial growth continues along Orchard Road and west while the northern border includes the internationally known Chicago Premium Outlets. Additional School districts are Kaneland Community School District 302 on the northwest side, Aurora West District 129 on the far west side and Aurora East School District 131 in the downtown extending along the Fox River area.
